What to do for my 17th Birthday in NYC?

So I'm turning 17 next Tuesday and I want to do something with 3 or 4 of my closest friends. I live in NYC so typical touristy stuff is out. Ideas I had in mind were: A nice restaurant since it is restaurant week, but I need to find a place that is still taking reservations and is vegetarian friendly. The other option I thought of was dancing under the stars in queens. If I can borrow someone's house I would do a dinner party there, very classy, but I don't know if I will be able to because I can't have it at my house (no room). For some of my friends birthdays we did sake bombing (they don't card at many places) and hung around st. marks but I think I want to do something a little more classy, with people dressed up. If you have any other ideas, or tips let me know! :DWhat to do for my 17th Birthday in NYC?
I would stay home and reflect on all the past years and think about the future. Maybe thank your parents and closest friends for being there. When I turned 17 it was one of the first birthdays I felt no change at all - and that is part of growing up. If you like to go out with friends then just go out with them and do anything you like, you don't have to overly fancy.
call around.
