Restaurant in nyc - up high and outside?

My husband and I are going in a few weeks and I would really love to eat outside and up high, like out on a terrace or whatever. We will be going primarily for the experience and less for the actual food. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!Restaurant in nyc - up high and outside?
I'm not sure if they have outside eating at the Terrace Restaurant up at Columbia University, but they have incredible views, unlike most of the other restaurants that are on top of buildings as it's way uptown.

Also, the Marriott hotel in Times Square, a revolving restaurant, not outside as far as I know, but you get the view of all of NY.

Spending all the money, Jon George, Columbus Circle, up too high to eat outside, but incredible food, about the best, but prices to match, again, you get the view even if you aren't outside.Restaurant in nyc - up high and outside?
Date night for you and your husband! How fun!

I have the perfect place for you: The Top of the Tower. Heard of it? I think I'd been in the City for three years before I "discovered" this restaurant/bar on the 26th floor of the Beekman Hotel. On 1st Ave. and 49th.

You can choose to eat on the wraparound terrace, or just have drinks there, and move indoors to dine. Call to reserve a table on the East River side or the City side....the view is big and beautiful.

And because the restaurant is on the small size, you'll enjoy personable service. And each other's company.

Click on the links below to get an idea of the views and overall atmosphere of the Tower, and be sure to check out the menus!

You're in for an evening you'll cherish. The perfect date for you and your husband.

Have fun!Restaurant in nyc - up high and outside?
