hey so my sister turns 21 in a week and she really wants to spend it doing dinner and partying it up in the city. so my question to you all is:
what are some really good nice and cheap restaurants in ny that allow you to get a nice decent meal without breaking the bank? i'm talking like $20 or less a plate. she's open to all cuisines, it doesn't necessarily have to be in Manhattan, i'm open to suggestions in Brooklyn as well.NYC Restaurant Suggestions?

Gather up a group of friends and go to Wo Hop on Mott Street. It's delish ... and pretty inexpensive. Afterwards, walk uptown, and stop at an Italian pastry shop in the village for pastries and capuccino. I also like the Indian Restaurants on 6th Street; they're atmospheric, really inexpensive and wonderful!
By the way, if you go on www.restaurants.com you can find really good deals on a lot of great restaurants in Manhattan. (They have links to the menus, so you can decide before you buy a certificate if it's a place you like and can afford.)
