If you're game to get up super early, you can go see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Don't know how old you are but Poly Esthers in Greenwich Village is fun and there's always something going on in Times Square.
You MUST go to some Broadway shows. My absolute favorite is Jersey Boys, but you probably will not be able to get tickets, as I had to wait a year for them.So my advice: look for tickets to whatever shows you want to see ASAP.
Otherwise, you should definitely check out the major and obvious sights - Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, etc.
And you should go to Little Italy for some of the best resturaunts.
