Restaurant week NYC- Where should we go?

http://nycgo.com/?event=view.article%26amp;id=鈥?/a>

There's the link...we will be visiting the city and are trying to decide on a restaurant or two- any suggestions? 10-points!Restaurant week NYC- Where should we go?
Tavern on the Green??? That place is grossly overrated. Don't bother.

You should know that the list you posted is nowhere near a complete listing of all the participating restaurants. This is a more complete listing: http://gonyc.about.com/cs/restaurants/a/鈥?/a>

Do go to Del Posto if you can, we went last year and the food was wonderful. I"ve been to Anthos and liked it a great deal. I'm a little sour on David Burke's establishments because we went to David Burke and Donatella two years ago (not on this year's list) and had a forgettable meal with a dreadful dessert (cheesecake lollipops with bubblegum whipped cream...disgusting).

I've been to Chez josephine a number of times and like it, but it's not entirely traditional French food. Many of the dishes are influenced by the American South which was where Josephine Baker, the woman to whom the restaurant is dedicated, was originally from before she became an ex-pat in France. Personally I love the place and you can quite often catch some of Broadway's royalty dining there. If you go, go for lunch or dinner between 8 and 10 as it gets really packed when the theatres let out.

I adore Blue Smoke...the food is always fantastic and the atmosphere although, modern and adult, is not stuffy and there's a great jazz club downstairs that serves food from Blue Smoke's kitchen.

Two people in my party got food poisoning from the pickled herring appetizer at Aquavit last year, but otherwise the meal was fine. I was very disappointed though because its head chef, Marcus Samuelsson is one of my favourites.

Asiate is wonderful and you gat a great view overlooking the city from their dining room so I would strongly recommend it for out of towners.

Nobu, owned by Robert DeNiro, is always fabulous (if you like sushi) and a huge celebrity magnet and the surrounding area is fun, full of shops and great people watching.

I could go on and on here, I've been indulging in Restaurant Week for years.Restaurant week NYC- Where should we go?
Tavern on the Green. Very good food. Very expensive. Very much worth it.

I was just in NYC a week ago. I would suggest going to Ray's pizza, Tavern on the Green, or Brooklyn Bagels which is in Chelsea Manhattan.
