Too many to name. You can get guidebooks at the bookstore, your library or on line. Fodor's and Frommer's are good ones.Going to Nyc in about 1 week for the first time. Ill be in midtown. That area. What are the must do's? thanks!?
If you're in Midtown, I would suggest the following:

Museums:

- Museum of Modern Art: 11 W 53rd St

- The Metropolitan Museum of Art: 1000 5th Avenue, at E. 76th Street

- Times Square Exhibition Center: 226 West 44th St. between 7th and 8th Ave

- Museum of Natural History: 79 Street And Central Park West

Shows:

- Wicked!! Absolutely amazing

Restaurants:

- The Burger Joint inside the Parker Meridian Hotel: 119 W 56th St

- Shake Shack (best burgers in the city hands down): 366 Columbus Avenue

- Calle Ocho (All you can drink Sangria w/purchase of 1 entree during brunch!): 446 Columbus Ave

Shops:

Midtown is a relatively expensive part of NYC, so I would suggest exploring the shops on Lexington Ave (between 50th and 60th street), or going to Herald Square (34th Street), where Macy's and the Manhattan mall are located.

A really cool thing to do (if you're there on Monday) is see a movie at Bryant Park (broadcast on a huge screen outside).Going to Nyc in about 1 week for the first time. Ill be in midtown. That area. What are the must do's? thanks!?

Personally, I shop in SoHo and eat in Chinatown or the theater district.
