Great restaurant in NYC?

I'm celebrating my 22nd birthday next week, so I'll like one that takes in reservations just days before. Bill's paid by me, so how about a group of 3-4 people for under $250? (with or without appetizer)

My friends are not the type who eat at fancy restaurants, so the food shouldn't be too strange, though i like trying new tasty things.

Great interior design, bars, and entertainment are great bonus. Active neighborhood would be nice since dinner might start early in the evening.Great restaurant in NYC?
