Should I be a cook or a server?

Hello. I am getting out of the air force in a week and I needed a job for 3 months over the summer until college starts then I move to NYC. Fortunately, my cousin has locked a position for me at cracker barrel restaurant. Before joining the military I was a host at applebees and a bus boy at a hotel. I've always enjoyed working with customers and line cooks always seemed so stressed out.

I would rather wait tables but I can make enough money as a line cook which would provide me guaranteed income for the next 2 months. I dont know if I can make a $100 every night waiting tables at cracker barrel.

which do you recommend when money is the most important factor? thank you for your timeShould I be a cook or a server?
Well - obviously, if money is a factor, and you make more money as a cook - then take the cooking job. But if you want to have more fun, talk more etc. then the waiting job is much better for sure. You'll definitely get less money as a bartender - the crises is here, so people leave less tips or none...
