Should I be a line cook or server?

Hello. I am getting out of the air force in a week and I needed a job for 3 months over the summer until college starts then I move to NYC. Fortunately, my cousin has locked a position for me at cracker barrel restaurant. Before joining the military I was a host at applebees and a bus boy at a hotel. I've always enjoyed working with customers and line cooks always seemed so stressed out.

I would rather wait tables but I can make enough money as a line cook which would provide me guaranteed income for the next 2 months. I dont know if I can make a $100 every night waiting tables at cracker barrel.

which do you recommend when money is the most important factor? thank you for your timeShould I be a line cook or server?
Be a line cook, it is good for your resume and if you get good at being a line cook, it should be a piece of cake (maybe even literally)

Plus if you like the customer enough, you will be helping them more as a cook then a waiter. They are there for the food, and usually not the waiter. It is worth the extra work and money, you live rich or you live poor, ya know?
