Please Help!!! Need Ideas for Private Marriage Proposal next week!?

I am going to be asking my GF of 3 years to marry me next Friday. She had mentioned in past conversations that she would never want a PUBLIC proposal. I am a reserved person also, and would also feel more comfortable doing it in private. My GF has no idea at all the I am going to propose and she is under the idea that we are going to her friend's Christmas cocktail party. I already informed her friend of my plans. I get home around 6PM that night and she will be home. I made 9 o' clock reservations at a beautiful restaurant across from Central Park ( We live in NYC).



I would rather NOT DO something cliche ( sprinkling the apartment with rose petals) I was trying to come up with something creative that I could do at home.

If she doesn't like public, she probably doesn't like cheesy either.



I would just tell her before you go to the restaurant. Say something like "I am looking forward to going to the restaurant, I'm hoping it will be a celebration dinner." When she looks puzzled, then you propose to her. Just tell her how you feel and ask her to marry you.

dont do it at dinner. have an amazing dinner and then tell her youd like to take a walk in the park. find a bench and sit down next to her. if you guys have a song play the favorite song on your phone and talk about some happy memories. that youve charged. then get on your knee with the ring behind your back. tell her youd love it if you could keep making wonderful memories for the rest of your lives because shes the only one you could imagine yourself being with. you know youre not perfect but she makes up for your imperfections. then pull out the ring and say the only thing perfect enough to be on her finger has to have a diamond on it. then laugh and im sure she'll laugh and wait for her answer, im sure u wont have to wait long!
