Jobs that pay $10+ an hour in NYC?

I live downtown, and as of right now I'm getting paid $8 an hour as a porter for a restaurant in Union Square. It's a bit of a dirty job, not that dirty. I just have to keep the dining area clean, take out the trash and make sure everything is stocked. Easy work. But I want something more challenging or interactive with customers. I was going to take the cashier position, but they only had a part time position available. By the way I am 18 years old, finishing my senior year in H.S and then going to college 2011 Fall. Does anyone know any retail stores anywhere in NYC that pay $9+ an hour? Or have any suggestions? How do I apply to other jobs while employed? Does that look bad on me, I've only been working at my current job for about 2 weeks.Jobs that pay $10+ an hour in NYC?
American eagle, hollister? Those are retails store that pay 9+ an hour and get discounts on the clothes. Although it's a lil hard to get in, basically you have to look like a douche and can't be fat.
