1. Celebs love shopping. You'll see them shop in big department store like Bergdorf Goodman, Barney's New York, etc. I've also encountered a few on the streets of SoHo. There are so many unique boutiques in this neighborhood that celebs love to stop by.



2. Restaurants.

Saw Cameron Diaz in Stanton Social. NY Magazine has a list of restaurants, that are deemed celeb-spotting spots.



3. I agree with the previous answerer, Broadway show. But i think if you want an upclose and personal meeting, go stand near the backstage street entrance. You'll know the backstage entrance from the street right away, because you'll see fans in that area. I once waited for Hugh Jackman on the outside of "A Steady Rain" backstage entrance.

5. Score a ticket to live-tapping show.

Examples are: Saturdays Night Live, John Stewart, Today Show, etc. These shows always have celebrity guests.
