Things to do in Harlem...?

Going to NYC next week with my darling hubby. We are staying in Times Square, and he has mapped out a bunch of things to do. We will be spending one day in Harlem, and my assignment is to come up with our plans for that day. Any suggestions? Are there any good comedy clubs, museums, restaurants that you would recommend? We are in our mid-30's, if that makes a difference. Thanks!Things to do in Harlem...?

Go to Sylvia's restaurant on 126th %26amp; Lenox (take the 2 or 3 train uptown to 125th ST, that's 125 %26amp; Lenox..walk one block up) world famous soul food restaurant. Three blocks down @ 125(Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd) btwn 7th Ave %26amp; Fredrick Douglass Blvd is the legendary Apollo theatre..Things to do in Harlem...?
stay out
In addition to what all of the other positive people stated, you can walk up and down the streets and admire Harlem's architecture. There are beautiful brownstones and fantastic churches.

There is also a wonderful jazz club called "St. Nick's Pub" located on St. Nicholas Avenue and around 150th Street.Things to do in Harlem...?
Why would you want to go to Harlem? The only time I went to Harlem was to get my braids done. It's not a tourist palce esp. if you're only going there for a week. Don't waste your time visiting Harlem when there are zillion other things to do around Manhattan.
Tons to do in Harlem, USA! You can visit "The Studio museum, visit and see a show/comedy show at The Apollo theater, have dinner at Amy Ruth's, good Southern food, shop on 125, see a movie at the Magic Johnson theater or just sit and watch the people go by in front of the Adam Clayton State building, where President Clinton has an office.

Enjoy, there's lot to do.
Like Bill Cosby told his kids:

" Smile at everybody, don't trust anybody. "
