Poll: Would YOU spend the money?

My boyfriend is coming to visit me in NYC in a few weeks. I really really feel for him, and want to treat him. We went to Iceland together in January, I visited him in England in April and now he's come to see me and then I move to England for school in September.



I have never dined at a VERY nice restaurant, nor have I gotten really dressed up for such an event, but should I spend 200$ on a meal for the both of us, here?

Ouch that sounds like a hole burning in the pocket.

But in the long run, it sounds nice...so i think if you really want too it will be worth it! I mean, it's not something you guys are going to do every day or once a week. So once in a blue moon sounds perfectly okay.



To go to a fancy restaurant and dine together after you guys haven't seen each other in awhile.

Like someone said, it's the thought that counts. But make sure you warn him early so he can have time to dress himself up too, that is if you decide to go through with it.Poll: Would YOU spend the money?
If you really want to have a good meal AND show him around-book a meal on a tourist boat

He gets to see some amazing sights-you being one of them [grrr]-and you don't just get a meal for your money-you get an experience.

I personally wouldn't. There are many more restaurants that are nice and less expensive. If you, the girl, is paying, I think it's just the thought that counts.Poll: Would YOU spend the money?
If this would be your first time at a high end restaurant and you're seeing him after a long time then you should go ahead and enjoy.

Um yeah if you feel it's necessary. But not if he doesn't expect it. Why not try somewhere a bit cheaper.
