Please Help!!! Need Ideas for Private Marriage Proposal next week!?

I am going to be asking my GF of 3 years to marry me next Friday. She had mentioned in past conversations that she would never want a PUBLIC proposal. I am a reserved person also, and would also feel more comfortable doing it in private. My GF has no idea at all the I am going to propose and she is under the idea that we are going to her friend's Christmas cocktail party. I already informed her friend of my plans. I get home around 6PM that night and she will be home. I made 9 o' clock reservations at a beautiful restaurant across from Central Park ( We live in NYC).



I would rather NOT DO something cliche ( sprinkling the apartment with rose petals) I was trying to come up with something creative that I could do at home.

You should do something that both of you enjoy and after propose to her. Let that moment be just you and her.
Listen, it's all been done before...the thing about making a proposal special is to make it your own. If you proposing at your place - put on "your" song; turn the lights down low; make her favorite drink for her; dress nice/smell nice (refresh that cologne!)...



My husband proposed on the couch with me in my PJ's - the ring was in my donut bag - he got me my favorite donut that morning...I appreciated that more than if he did something out of character and went uber-romantic for it...Please Help!!! Need Ideas for Private Marriage Proposal next week!?
Aww congrats! It depends on your personality! I was going to propose to my man on the radio. Have the dj say your message. They agreed to for me! Or wrap the ring in big boxes and do a 10 present opening if you're funny... My friends man did that and she tells everyone the story! :) I personally was proposed to at a garden under a waterfall. Always thought itd be cool to have a ring in a drink or fortune cookie or something with a homemade meal! Good luck!!!
when i proposed it was at a coming home party at a friends house for me.. i was in the military and a friend threw me a party so i used that to get all of our friends together and asked her to marry me in front of just our friends.. anything you do is going to be special.. just do what you think is right..and no matter what she will be happy just don't use a hot sauce packet from taco bell... lol...Please Help!!! get naked at the apartment and propose on one knee - stating you are naked because you have nothing to hide, and everything you are, you offer to her...
