Costs for NYC visit?!?!?

I am planning to visit new york city for a week, Aside of plane tickets I need transports (i have no problem using subway and buses) hotel (i need a really cheap hotel that wont be gross, and kinda in downtown or so close plz name me one) i can go for one that can cover only nights, i might eat somewhere else. Food: probably restaurants not fancy ones, and starbucks for coffee.. Some souvenir shopping and thats it

I dont think you will have problems with hotels, there are close to 600 over hotels in new york.

The cheapest i think would be The Gershwin Hotel New York City from $38 it has some good reviews left by guests. To give you the choice, go to this site called www.priceonhotel.com

Its a hotel comparison site that compares all hotel booking sites on the internet and gives you the choice to compare all the prices provided by all booking sites. Its much safer knowing that you know how much all the rest of the sites are chargeing :) There's guest reviews, maps, and real time prices so i guess you would be able to make a calculated decision. I noticed they have gray line package which if you book on line you could save about $5. Grayline has some good packages - trips all day, tours, attractions and its cheap and safe. Its in the same site. Have a safe and nice trip.
