spending a few weeks in new york city. have been here before, and have done the cupcakes from magnolia bakery and the frozen hot chocolate from serendipity 3. also have done all the street stuff like honey roasted peanuts and dirty water dogs/pretzels. besides bagels and pizza, what are some specific things to eat and try at specific restaurants or places? best thing you ever ate in nyc? must-try foods? thanks!What are some must eat things in NYC?
Try the carts and street vendors. You have to try the chicken and rice or lamb and rice with extra tzakiki (white) sauce! It's sooo good. Oh wow, my mouth's actually watering right now..

ok, max brenner is famous for its chocolate meals, they do serve actual dinner food but i suggest you dont get them. Instead, just try their chocolate specialties. Try their famous chocolate pizza! It might sound disgusting to some people (to me it kinda did) but when i tried it OMG! it was orgasmic! you need to try it! also, if you do decide to go there, do not order too many dishes at once. As good as chocolate may be, its not good if u had too much. Try 2 dishes or so at a time (depending how many people are with you)

I really like 'inoteca. It's an Italian wine bar and the staff is really knowledgeable as I tend to be nervous picking out a bottle myself. They have great small plates and brushcetta, so it's a good place to split. I've been to the one on 3rd in the Gramercy area, but they have a variety of different locations in the city.



Boqueria is also good. The tapas and sangria are great.What would you consider an appropriate NYC date?
The weather is nice so do something outside.



Walk across the Brooklyn bridge, eat at the River Cafe (high budget) or Grimaldi's pizza (low budget) right near the bridge, and take the water taxi back to the south street seaport for drinks.

I began working at a fine dining restaurant approximately 2 weeks ago...gradually things would change as time went on...first, the original manager who hired me left after a couple of days. Another manager comes in to fill in form NYC, seems okay..tells me did they tell you that you will be a back waiter for the first week? I said no, but thought what the heck, I'll make some money. So, I work a double on a Friday, bust my rear end, MGR from NYC says you worked hard..but I don't get tipped? Then I learn you must work 3 days before you get tipped..hmmmm, I had allready done that. Then, I go in to work today, some 2 weeks hence..and the new GM, said let's talk...mind you, I hadn't worked wtih him yet...only saw him observer a few days back..looking bored...and looked at me funning when I said hello. He basically proceeds to tell me that I don't fit in here....Well, yes I guess I don't, because I'm intellegent, clean cut, well groomed, and speak English..Totally unfair..any recorse?Wrongful-discrimitory termination in Restaurant Business?

I visited NY in the summer for almost 2 weeks. I stayed with a friend in Brooklyn and he couldn't wait to take me and another friend to McCarren Park Pool.
